The faithful in the Diocese of Cheyenne strongly desire to support healthy, holy marriages.
To help couples grow closer to Christ, the Diocese has undertaken new Instructions to help local parishes journey with couples as they develop understandings of their vocations and grow in love and faith together. You will find more information about your experience of this formation at the bottom of this page.
For those who desire to celebrate matrimony, please explore the following resources, which your parish will use to journey with you towards your wedding day and beyond.
Against this backdrop of love so central to the Christian experience of marriage and the family, another virtue stands out, one often overlooked in our world of frenetic and superficial relationships. It is tenderness.- Amoris Laetitia, 28
Natural Family Planning (NFP) is a resource for married couples to embrace the gift of the bodies God has given them as they live the vocation of married life. NFP helps couples plan the timing of their pregnancies in a way that upholds the teachings of the Catholic Church. Importantly, NFP involves the participation of both wife and husband in this important part of their shared vocation and commitment to each other.
